Sophia – Wooden Doll antique style

Sophia is an exquisite interior articulated doll crafted from wood, embodying the elegance of French royal court dolls from the 18th century. While not an antique, Sophia is my interpretation of an 18th-century Pandora doll. Her wooden body features movable legs, allowing her to sit, and fabric arms with a turnable, removable wooden head. Sophia boasts a meticulously carved wooden hairstyle.

Dressed in a multi-layered ensemble of natural silk and jacquard cotton, her top dress is adorned with floral ornaments and silk ribbon flowers, complemented by a corset adorned with bows. The bottom dress boasts intricate cotton lace. Every garment, including the intricate corset, is meticulously hand-sewn without the use of machinery.

Standing at approximately 15 inches tall, Sophia comes packaged in a sturdy wooden box with a sliding lid, ready to add a touch of royal charm to any interior.
